question 1: I think it's use a difference between the personalities of the people. People deal with grief differently so it's to be expected that families had different reactions to the fate of their family members.

question 2: I don't think it's important we know who it is especially since there were countless others who jumped or fell from the building as well. Either way that person is gone and how they died doesn't seem like a huge difference

question 3: I don't think showing the photo is exploitation if it were every single person who photographed tragedy would be exploiting instead of sharing. Because the world now a days everyone is connected and this is a way of putting a common face to the tragedy.

question 4: that it doesn't really matter ho he is , people should be deciding how that photograph impacts them rather than who that person is. because one person identified doesn't make a difference and the whole reason that photo was published was to make an impact

question 5: I'm not really sure that doesn't really resonate with me much. but it does seem fitting because people were basically entombed and unknown

question 6: that seems incredibly true . you have no idea what these people really felt or went through but these pictures give us a window and we should at least have some understanding of the things that happened to them because they don't deserve those burdens and if we  maybe have an idea of what happened people won't be impassive. they'll care more and be more aware.

what makes a good photo

Since I wasn't here I'm supposed to just type a couple of paragraphs and give an example so here goes.

   

      I read all of the links for the examples and the first one I read was an intelligent view. But I found the writing style completely distracting becasue all it seemed like was him talking about how good of a photographer he was and everyone should bow before him. However I did love the photo that he took  because of the ,ultiple ways he used to draw your focus inot the picture. The endges of the building met almost exactly at the center of the picture which drew you straight in and then it spread out into the edges giving a sort of forced perspective. He spoke of the lense he used which made the edges not as in focus which also effective at ddrawing your attention straigh to the subject . But the  thing I love the most is the way that the colors complement eachother in a noticible but not distracting way.
   the second link was a lot more about what makes a good photographer which I've always thought as a huge piece of what really makes a good photo. A photographer really has to consider why they took a picture , because to me you can really feel why someone took a photo and how they feel about it. or maybe just the feelings it evokes in someone else .

But after reading everything to me a good photo is something that makes you stop and pay attention it has something unique whether its a color or light source or just evokes a feeling a good photo makes you stop and look at it .

Good pictures

 to me a good photo has a lot to do with the feelings it provokes or the striking idea. I like this picture because of the criss crossing of the background the one vibrant flower on the bush draws the attention because even though it looks interesting in the back it doesn't detract from the subject.

I had a hard time deciding between color and black and white because having color shows a totally different story than black and white. Black and white seems kind of dead with the flower being the only life. but in color you can see all the things growing besides flowers. so I chose this one because the background it popping with colors, brown, green, red etc. but the simple white of the flower makes it stand out .
